Step 2 - Configure your network
settings
Now, with your wireless card and software installed, you'll need
to configure your network.
Though the names of specific commands and dialog boxes differ among
versions of Windows, the basic procedure for setting up access to
a wireless network, and configuring client software, is similar
for all. Windows 2000 and XP share the same network settings configuration
procedure, while Windows 98 and Me, though similar, impose slight
differences.

1. Click on Start and select Control Panel. Select "Network and
Internet Connections" category. Note: If you are using Classic View,
you will see the control panel icons instead of categories. Double-click
the Network Connections icon and go to step 3.
2. Click the network connections control panel icon

3. Right-click Local Area Connection, listed under LAN or High-Speed
Internet and select Properties. NOTE: If you have more than one
network connection, you will need to select the one for your wireless
card.
4. Select the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item in the Components
list. You may need to scroll to find it.
5. In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box, do
the following:
- Click Obtain an IP address automatically.
- Click Obtain DNS server address automatically.

Go to step 3...

1. In Windows 2000, click the Start button.
2. Select Settings, then Control Panel. Double-click on Network
and Dial-Up Connections.
3. Right-click on the Local Area Connection icon and select Properties.
NOTE: If you have more than one netowrk connection, you will need
to select the one for your wireless card.

1. In Windows 98/ME, click the Start button.
2. Select Settings, then Control Panel. Double-click on the Network
icon.
3. In the Network dialog box, click the Configuration tab if it
isn't already selected.
4. Select the entry for the TCP/IP protocol for your wireless network
card (or if it only shows the one TCP/IP protocol like below, select
that one), then click the Properties button.

5. In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box, do
the following:
- Click Obtain an IP address automatically.

Go to step 3...
